megan and stuart were married at the scenically situated bloemendal restaurant on the ‘rainiest, windiest, wettest’ day that cape town had ever seen.
the rain came down in sheets and the famous view across to Table Mountain was totally obliterated for the whole day.
we had planned weeks prior to take all the family and couple shots in the vineyards, and with the 360 degree views as the backdrop.
no ways! the entire wedding , the ceremony and all the photos had to be taken inside the restaurant, using the wet windows as a backdrop, which lent some wonderful diffused light to the images.
everyone was so chilled and megan was the least stressed of all, which, under the circumstances, was quite amazing!
catamarans and rowing boats were better suited than the 4×4’s that lined the parking area.
the ever smiling megan in the middle of the torrential downpour!
thanks megs and stuart for being such a fun unstressed couple. it is said that rain is most fortuitous on one’s wedding day, so may that hold true for you both in your new life together.
(thanks also to jenny hallward who ably assited me as second shooter and held umbrellas and other things during what could have been some stressful moments!)

Congratulations, Frenske. You had most testing conditions, but you worked with them and came out tops. I wish that I could have held the umbrellas. 🙂
