i first met rob, jodie and their families in noordhoek in 2002
when i shot their wedding (on film still!)
we met again last year, and again this september to commemorate the life of jodie’s wonderful father, Butch.
last year we did a huge shoot of all the family; in-laws, moms, sisters, brothers,cousins, dogs, and of course lots of children.
this time around jodie asked me to do a low key shoot of the family with their two gorgeous children,
down on the corner of the beach that the family love and know so well.
i met up with a large number of the extended family a short while before sunset, on a lovely cape town afternoon.
the weather was soft and warm and the children were playing in the water and making sandcastles
and running back and forth so fast it was hard to stop the action!
