It was a mad wonderful busy family affair!
People came from far and wide to be with Chris and Bron when they married at the Monkey Valley Resort in Noordhoek, Cape Town,
which was the closest thing to a beach wedding one could have without getting windblown, wet or sandy.
I had met Chris and Bron when they returned to Cape Town for her brother, Gareth’s wedding to Shauna, a year earlier, which I also photographed, at Constantia Uitsig.
Bron, a South African girl by birth, is a highly qualified Silwood chef, who travelled the world, (really London and France) working her way around with her amazing talent.
Preferring the lifestyle, Australia beckoned, and whilst working in the Hunter Valley ( a bit like the wine growing region of Stellenboch) she and Chris met.
Travelling was in their blood and, with their caravan and a cat called Fred, they planned to work their way around (literally) the coast of Australia, starting in Newcastle through to Brisbane, ‘interupted’ by the Cape Town wedding and then onto Adelaide, where they have now settled to raise a family (starting with a tiny sprog called Stuart Roger Aberley).
Chris and Bron, it was great meeting you and being part of such a special day with you and the family.
Much love to you and many happy days with young Stuart, who I hope to meet next year!
